Micro Focus recently renewed our technical partnership with Jaguar TCS Racing for Season 9 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. The start of the season is just around the corner. Are you ready?

Off to the Races
Mark your calendars–Saturday, January 14th, 2023–Mexico City will host the first race of Season 9 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. Featuring their amazing new Gen3 race car, the Jaguar I-TYPE 6 is the most advanced all-electric race car Jaguar TCS Racing has ever put into competition.
Making use of the legendary Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit, the track will be one of the fastest of the year. Sitting at 2,250m above sea level, this venue will also be the highest altitude race of the year. I am a trivia guy and found that to be quite an interesting piece of info.

If you are like me, you will probably be following the race circuit virtually. I am happy to announce that our Virtual Garage Tours will be returning for Season 9. These events offer the chance to get a behind the scenes look at how the Jaguar TCS Racing team prepares for race day. This is an awesome and rare chance to get a firsthand look at what really goes on behind closed doors. You will also get a preview of how Micro Focus technology is helping drive the innovation and success of the Jaguar TCS Racing team.

Formula E and Me
My true introduction to motorsports came after I purchased my first motorcycle nearly seven years ago. In my pursuit to consume everything motorcycle related, I stumbled upon MotoGP highlights on YouTube and was hooked on Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Witnessing a last-second overtake for first place or a battle through a corner while the racers are mere inches away from each other is an instant hit of adrenaline.
Season 9 promises to provide plenty of hits of adrenaline which is why I am extremely excited to tune in to my first season of Formula E and cheer on the Jaguar TCS Racing team.
And as a bonus, Formula E is not only high-speed racing, but it’s also a test bed for some incredible electric vehicle technology that will be pushed to on-road vehicles in the future. Race car tech in my EV? Count me in.
Together, Micro Focus and Jaguar TCS Racing are working toward a more sustainable future. If that isn’t something to get behind, then I don’t know what is.
