As one of the world’s largest enterprise software providers, Micro Focus is committed to playing its part – which is why we are delighted to support Safer Internet Day on 8 February 2022, an annual global initiative dedicated to creating a safer internet for all.
From cyberbullying to social networking to digital identity, each year Safer Internet Day aims to raise awareness of emerging online issues and current concerns. This year’s theme for Safer Internet Day is ‘Together for a Better Internet’ – and together with our employees, Micro Focus is taking this opportunity to further promote safe online practices to help make the internet a safer and better place for all.
Helping Those Most Vulnerable Stay Safe
We each have a role to play in driving positive change, and to support this all Micro Focus employees have been invited to join a series of virtual volunteering sessions designed to help those most vulnerable in society stay safe in today’s digital world. Using one of their four annual volunteering days, employees will team up with colleagues on Safer Internet Day 2022 to take part in a variety of activities – including developing educational guides and interactive quizzes for children to help them use the internet safely.
As part of Micro Focus INSPIRE, our company-wide Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) program, the virtual volunteering sessions will support several non-profit organizations that align to our company’s social purpose – to help equip communities with the right skills to thrive in their digital future. Our efforts to drive positive change further underpins our support of the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (UN SDGs) in helping to achieve more inclusive, sustainable economies and stronger, more resilient societies.
