Many organizations are searching for ways to securely send data within and outside of their organization for security and privacy purposes. But some organizations, like banks and other financial institutions, must adhere to industry regulations as well. The largest bank in the United Arab Emirates, The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), sought not only a way to strengthen its security for transferring data, but to comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
The National Bank of Abu Dhabi is among one of the safest banks in the world and needed a managed file transfer (MFT) solution that would comply with its high standards. The bank wanted to implement a consistent, company-wide system to transfer files and selected Attachmate’s managed file transfer solution, FileXpress.
NBAD wanted a flexible solution that would not require many internal adjustments; they wanted a product that was simple and would not require an inordinate amount of time to implement. FileXpress worked within NBAD’s existing Windows and UNIX (Solaris) framework easily, so all projects were able to move forward without affecting deadlines or workflow. This efficiency created a cost-savings for the bank.
